- A private investment firm located in the Houston area of Texas is looking to build a platform focused on the development and operations of memory care communities throughout Texas and the South
- They are committed to providing a homelike environment, where the residents and their families can enjoy the maximum level of independence, while achieving the highest quality of life, with the safety, dignity, and respect they deserve
- Our well funded client will build the company through new developments and acquisitions of properties
Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Board
- The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will work with our client to design a business plan and recruit a senior team to start and grow a multi-state memory care company
- The CEO will provide leadership, direction, and fiscal management to the organization, consistent with the mission,
vision, and strategic goals - The CEO must leverage a deep understanding of the assisted living and memory care industries, understanding the needs of all stakeholders
- Design a team to help develop and operate a multi-unit memory care platform
- Open new memory care communities – leading the site selection, design and build process, staffing, marketing and resident recruiting and programming
- Manage the day-to-day operations of new memory care communities
- Create strategy and vision with full P&L accountability to drive rapid and sustained profitable growth and ensure execution of strategies
- Set financial, performance, and growth goals and work with leaders and partners to measure and manage progress
- Develop a culture that empowers teams, values innovation, emphasizes people and performance management, and employee engagement
- Assure all legal, ethical, and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws, regulations, and all ethical codes and licensing boards
- Report to and work closely with client board of directors
- Act as the primary spokesperson for the company
- Help with recruiting new staff members when necessary

Candidate Background
- Bachelor’s degree or master's degree in a relevant discipline or MBA as well as employment history in senior care
10+ years of relevant experience in a senior management position - Knowledge of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management, and general finance and budgeting
- Ability to build consensus and relationships among executives, partners, and the workforce
- Understanding of human resources and personnel management
- Experience with corporate governance
- Proven negotiation skills
- Ability to understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions
- Collaborator that can effectively work cross functionally
- Ability to inspire confidence, faithfulness and create trust
- Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate
- Ability to engage in high-level ethical problem solving and thinking
- Experience with program management and development
